Cheryl Warrick Cheryl’s works are about wisdom and how we observe and learn from what we experience in life. The trees signify knowledge, the ladders represent transformation and the landscapes are universal. Patchwork quilts and computer screen pop-up windows are part of what inspires the structure of these works. The romantic landscapes are invented rather than plain air and yet symbolize a universal experience. All three were developed and printed in collaboration with Ballinglen Fellows Catherine Kernan and Ron Rumford. Cheryl’s work is included in The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Detroit Art Institute, the Art Institute of Chicago (Leaving the Bell!), The Archive in The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Ireland, Boston Public Library, Cleveland Museum of Art, Harpo Productions, Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester, Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Museum of the National Center for African-American Artists, Boston, Philadelphia Free Library, Rose Art Museum, University of Vermont and many smaller collections throughout the USA.
